I never knew the paintings were game modelled. Im rather unimpressed now. I thought what amazing detail and craft, but ya. That kind of ruined it after seeing the Zbrushed prawns...

Hi Ryan, no the Prawns were designed by David Meng - and the images in this article were sculpted.
I had very little to do with the aliens themselves other than some art direction on the workshop floor and the colour schemes.
No Z-Brush model was ever created at Weta.
